Some More Graduations

It's a curious time within Hello! Project at the moment. Who knows, it could all be total coincidence but another two members have left. Ongaku Gatas members Noto Arisa and Sawada Yuri are both set to graduate, fortunately Nocchi is only moving over to Up-Front Eggs and is still within Ongaku Gatas but unfortunately Sawachan isn't, she's "planning to focus her efforts on studying and attending university".

Much like the recent news of Kanna gradutaing C-ute this is yet another case of shrugging it off and it has me worrying, am I slowly drifting away from the H!P girls or is it just my attentions aren't focused so heavily on these members?
Certainly as a unit I love Ogaku Gatas and their singles have been some of my favourites, much like Buono! they haven't followed the regular H!P sound or PV style, well perhaps on some of the PVs, but generally I've found at least they've been a lot more interesting and amusing than the norm. But I have to admit it has been a case of the Yossie, Charmy, Konkon and Satoda show with the Eggs really not engaging that much with me. Obviously when the unit was first formed they had the Manoeri wow factor as well, but again since her departure from the unit I'm finding it more and more of a struggle to keep myself intrested in her releases.
So with the news that Nocchi will be remaining in this unit, it makes for at least one interesting assumption, that the unit isn't going to be put on hiatus with no releases to follow? It would seem a little strange to still be in a unit that does nothing right?...But then I guess H!P have a habit of doing that as well lol.

I'm also not really surprised with the news of their graduations as I've been half expecting something like this to happen and again wouldn't be surprised if we started to see more of the Eggs graduating to go on to different things, whether it be to study or moving around to do something else, joining up with Up-Front Eggs or TNX. Ever since the mass graduation of the Elder Club members there's been this need to get the Eggs more involved with releases. If the graduation of the Elder Club was more than just to give the girls the freedom they so deserve with their lives and more of a financial relief for H!P then surely the same would be done with the Eggs?
Admittedly I can't imagine it being done in the same way, these girls all have the potential to be big Idols in their own way as I'm sure UFA wouldn't have taken them on if they didn't, so is this the start of them needing to show potential?

Much like Erika's departure to become a model, Nocchi's graduation doesn't really come as a surprise when you think about where she's going and what she's going to do, plus there's also the wonder of is she actually going anywhere? She's still within Ongaku Gatas, she's just not the leader of the H!P Eggs any more. With her hosting of the DogaDoga7 Shows (well I'm presuming she does, I've only seen a few of them and they all seem to feature her) her move really makes a lot of sense.
Sawachan came as a bit of a shock as she's my current fave Egg within Ongaku Gatas...hmmm, now that I think about it, she was probably my fave Egg. I enjoyed her within Ongaku Gatas.

I laughed outloud at the line "ManoEri wow factor"! I know people like her, but she is the opposite to me. Really really blah and boring. But to each his own! Ok, I do like the newish Summer Party song, but visually the Eggs shine much more, for me anyway, even in the background. Especially Yukka Maeda. Now SHE has wow factor!

I never got into Ongaku Gatas, I didn't know the eggs and I was confused at Konno being in there, Mai Satoda, etc...I just didnt get the sports thing either and paid them no mind, so this news affects me not a jot. I do like Come Together alot, tho. I wouldn't worry. Now C-ute is a different matter, but I think all will be alright.

Surely nothing aproaches the shock of last year when I saw the headline at H!O: "Elder Club to Graduate", and I thought to myself, which member? clicked on it, and then read: "ALL OF THEM".

That's just me. How's your Hangry doll siggy holding up?

Mano is a goddess, and a living Ranka-Chan - when Aliens invade she'll save us! Or subjugate us - either way Manooooooo. Of course I'd pick Reina's side if the two faced off.

That DogaDoga7 looks pretty cool, gonna have to watch all those lol. Gonzo lol.

Mano wow factor? I say it was the Mano-fail factor. Adding Mano to any group decreases my interest in it quite substantially. However, Manoless Ongaku Gatas managed to release only one single, quite a while ago, so I thought they didn't qualify as "active" anymore. I must say that this statement surprised me. So being "active" apparently isn't the same as "releasing new songs", maybe it's more like "undefinite hiatus" after all.

Mozenator, the Hangry doll is doing well, I'm really relieved that it's not fading or rubbing off anything at the moment, it's all good! But then I haven't touched it in awhile and it's just sitting on a shelf, occasionally I get the urge to pick it up in a fit of Yossie's touched this fandom, but I refrain I don't even want to think about damaging that autograph. How's your poster have you done anything with it? Mine's still sitting in it's little poster tube, I really to find the cash to get it framed.
I can understand the whole not being into Mano, certainly I liked her a hell of a lot more within Ongaku Gatas. And the whole sport thing, I didn't really get it but just looked upon it as an excuse to pull some of the girls together and create a new unit, rather than just forming it randomly.
Definitely nothing will come close to that mass graduation, but I'm still hoping that it means bigger and better things for all of them. At the moment it's really only Melon Kinenbi that are really standing out (well along with Hangry and Angry, but they're gone a little quiet lately) their collaboration singles are amazing (I should really post about them at some point) and it's really an awesome sound and direction that they're going in, just a shame it's a bit awkward to buy them.

Matt_D, I followed the DogaDoga7 clips for awhile but just forgot about them, so much so that I totally forgot what they were even called lol. I think I'll to go through them when I get a quiet moment.

Kishkio, it just seems odd to move them over and do nothing with them, I just imagine if UFA had no plan for them to release anything else they would have just disbanded after the graduation, especially considering Yossie and Charmy both now have Hangry and Angry. So yeah I think undefinite hiatus is probably the best description, I really hope at some point they do something, a shame to let them fade away.

Lol @ Mano wow factor, she's the worst soloist H!P's ever hard.
Its really sad to know that she is currently the only one as well.
I think Nocchi's heading in the direction of Yaguchi with the whole variety idol thing.
I know Nocchi's been Yagu's blog a bit lately.

Sorry paul but she STILL has yet to dazzle me in anyway. i like sekai wa summer party but that's kinda it. her new single is sooooooooo boring though. ultimate fail there.

OK totally of topic.

Been a Takahashi Ai obsessively fancy her fan boy. I did not pay any attention to the other members of MM apart from Fujimoto Miki who I must say im gutted she’s no longer a member.
Back to the point over the past few days I suddenly noticed Kamei eri who I have always dismissed due to her tooth (I have a tooth fetish first thing I look at with anybody) Not now though wow Kamei is hot hot hot and very funny while shes not as uber babe as Ai Chan (nobody is) she’s my number 4 in the whole of HP now. (Ai , Miki, Aya, Eri)
Question for Paul while you said Ai has perfect skin, how is Kamei’s?
PS still jealous of you.

@Hexi and Ned, the Manoeri wow factor was aimed more at her time spent within Ongaku Gatas rather than her solo stuff, to be honest I don't think you can deny the wow factor of her when she was in the unit, ok she was out done by all the non egg members, but I don't think any Egg within the unit attracted more attention and certainly with their first single she was the girl that caught my eye, and if I remember rightly from a lot of other blog posts quite a few other peoples eye, the most.

jun, fingers crossed, don't think i could handle any more graduations any time soon.

Paul Elliott, Kamei looked amazing, although I think out of everyone she was the one who left least of an impression on me although I'm not entirely sure why :S
