WTF! Hangry & Angry!?

Friday, 30th October 2009 15:12

OK, a quick post just to say WHAT THE FUCK!!??

Over at Morningtime's Blog the chat started wandering over into Hangry & Angry and would they perform in England and what sort of venue would they play, a small intimate one perhaps?
Well from what I've just heard there's only going to be 75 tickets available for their performance in Paris this weekend...you can't really get any more intimate than that :S

If that's true, I'm willing to kill for them :S

That's madness if it's true. Why travel all the way from Japan to play in front of such a small crowd?

Tell me about it, if it is right I'm just thankful that they aren't available until tomorrow otherwise I'd be screwed and I'd be hunting down my boss with the intent of killing so very slowly (he's the damn reason I'm not out there right now)!
I was attempting to find someone to come along as Chris can't make it and his stuff is already paid for....it's a bit selfish of me, but I think that idea is now officially gone, one more person not to fight for a ticket against!

But seriously what are they thinking if that's true? Surely it's more to do with the venue than anything else?? I guess I'll have to wait until tomorrow and see.

Oh I forgot to mention.... it lasts 30mins :S
Makes me glad that I've planned this on the cheap, if I'd of broke £100 I'd be REALLY screwing about now.

Wow I'm glad I didn't go now - a 30 minute set and only 75 tickets. That's sickening. Really is - it should have been annouced before hand - whether UFA's doing or the event organisers. So many people traveling to Paris just to see them...

Hope you still have a good time, whatever the outcome of the H&A situation

Hmm, might be tickets for the front or something? I dunno, damn I'm going to stress about this all night lol.
I'd imagine if it was anything like LA it's more the organisers that are being crap, they did after all leave it late to announce what H&A will actually be doing.

I'll try my best, but I'm sure it'll be fun no matter what, worst case I can always drown my sorrows with other H!P fans :D

drown your sorrows in your red wine

Wow... I hope it isn't 75 tickets total like it sounds. That would be harsh not only for the fans but for the band as well. Who wants to sing in front of just 75 people? And who wants to be around 75 people who may or may not even be into the group?

The 30 minute set time limit sounds rather limiting. What the hell?

Good luck man. May I suggest using your shoes as weapons and knocking out people in front of you in line? Either that or camp out where ever the ticketing booth & defend your spot in line like your life depended on it.

But if you don't make it in you can always try for an autograph... I mean, if that isn't fubar'd as well.

Matt_D, last time I was in Paris there was a tramp outside every supermarket drinking wine, I may end up joining them :D

Greg, pretty much what I was saying over at Morningtime's blog, intimate is good, but not at the expense of feeling sorry for the performers.
I went to an Electric Eel Shock performance last week it was good, but it was a tiny venue (no idea how many people but not a great deal) and although it was a great performance it was a real shame seeing only the front few lots of people getting into it and everyone else standing around. Plus the wonder did cross my mind as to how many of those at the front were fans, considering the group mainly does rock songs (with the odd punk-ish sounding one) people looked like they were dancing around their handbags :S Last time I checked that's not what you do to that kind of music.
Plus Sputniko as great as she was I think technically she was only playing to 4 people; me, cdevil, lampshade and matt, by the looks of it we were the only people to pay at the door which suggests that everyone else was with jpopgo :S
Small is good, but not at something like this, people coming in from all over the place with the potential of major disappointment, it's really crappy.
I'm getting to the coach depot at 6am and it's only a 15min walk from the expo so I'll head straight there. Yeah fingers crossed theres the Q&A and the autographs, so who knows. Fingers crossed it'll be more organised than AX with running all over the place trying to find where they're doing the signing :S

Well I just hope you're wrong about the tickets. H&A deserve far better as do the fans.

Oh well at least if there's a signing session or something you'll get to meet the girls. That'll make it all worth it anyway. I'd give my right ha...my left hand to meet Rika.

Yeah fingers crossed I got the completely wrong idea, perhaps it was tickets for the autographs? Lol, we'll see tomorrow I guess XD

Time to make a move, Paris here I come!!!

Was talking to the lady at discount manga store today while buying my h&a goods... It's 75 tickets on sat and sun for the autograph session. First come first serve to the concert but I can't remember how big the hall was... I'm scared I'm gonna miss out :(

I heard they didn't want to go to aya :( maybe next time SOON!!! Go England

commentComment by paul.thomas on Friday, 30th October 2009 21:33
Well that makes me feel better :) But still want to try and get a ticket to the autograph sessions. Are they selling the h&a dolls there? Need to get one for Rila to sign to match my Yossie one.

Why do reak of cigars??

Yep it's 75 tickets per autograph session, so 150 tickets for that. The concert is free and the hall was reasonably sized, maybe a 1000 seats? The layout reminded me of AX but on a much smaller scale, the venue was decent but for 30 mins it doesn't really matter >_< I'll see you tomorrow!

commentComment by CDevil on Friday, 30th October 2009 23:55
Forgot to mention, the only H&A merch they had that I remember were posters, photo sets and albums XD

You need to buy a 20 euro album to get an autograph ticket so I'll have to buy 2 albums to get to both sessions. If anyone wants to buy the extra album just message me.

Wow, glad that ticket thing was cleared up. Still 75 tickets for each autograph session is crazy. Sounds like you may have to fight off some crazy wota to get those. I hope y'all get one.

For the concert show up real early and make a mad dash for the front row/mosh pit if you can. Make your 30 minutes worth it. =)

Have fun!
