Going On! Full PV

Sublty over in your face randomness, that I think is the real debate I have with the PV.
My first watch of the Going On! had me pausing after watching the first 12 seconds, mainly because :::Dohhh! Up::: was being it's usual slowish self, but also because the little that I'd of seen had me very excitied. A room, with the girls in being filmed, directed and (I'm guessing) styled by the Lion Production company, which conists of a lion in a bowler hat, a green elephant and a purple mouse. There was the instant reminder of my teenage years watching the ever so slightly trippy Banana Split show (I actually can't believe I haven't sang the Tra La La song at any of the karaoke meet ups :S but, there's always the next one!!) as Lion (I'm guessing that's what he's called seeing as the elephant is called Elephant) reminds me a hell of a lot of Drooper, well minus whatever Drooper used to take before the show :P
This association in my head then lead me down a trail of how I thought the PV was going to play out, with these characters filming the PV I thought to myself that we're going to see some amusing incidents with them involved, something a littlw wacky, something out there, ultimately something amusing. Unfortunatly rather than like most of their other animal suit counter parts, Lion PR is really quite professional. At no point do any of them fall over, walk into walls, skip over their tails or do anything remotely stupid, Elephant does a fine job behind the camera, whilst Lion and Mouse enjoy the performance bopping along throughout. Which in mind at least raises the question, what is their purpose?
Sure, the subtly of it is good I suppose, I enjoyed the roar at the start and at the end, albeit not that much, it gives that 'different' feel which I find all of their previous PVs have had, but ultimately it just feels a little lazy. If you remove these characters from the PV you don't lose anything it's still the same PV, whereas with their others if you remove the non dance clips you lose a lot of the fun.
It just seems a little strange to include them and then don't use them in a way that's not only entertaining but that doesn't add anything of any real value, here's no personailty with any of these characters, there's no real reason to have them there.

But, as the clapper board says this is the Dance Version, so perhaps this is the finished versoin Lion PR released (haha, I love how I'm thinking that Lion PR is actually real and they actually made this) and we'll see other versions where the characters play more of a roll? If that is the case then I have no complaints, I see the purpose and it's actually quite an amusing idea, I guess I'll have to wait and see what if any other versions are made available.

Giant coloured animals aside, the PV much like the song is very Guardians 4, the dance routines and positionings, the group singing everything fits into their usual style perfectly and I can't really complain about it, as a unit I love them and any excuse to see more of Nakki, Mittsi, Risako and Yurina is a good in my opinion. The colour of their outfits this time around has got me on the fence, I love the brightness of them and they do look great them, but bright yellow tartan? It just somehow doesn't feel right, but then what do I know about tarten?

Guardians 4 - Going On! Covers

Much like the covers for Buono! the covers for the Guardians 4 releases are always something that I enjoy, the girls always just look great plus there's that fun feel to it. As to whether I put an order in for this release I haven't quite decided, I need to try and save some money and with the exchange rate still being fairly crappy, £6 for the regular release and £10 for the limited release (and that's not taking into consideration shipping) it seems a little much, especially when there's albums and DVDs being released that I've got my eyes on.

I was also dissapointed that the animals didn't do much :( At least it doesn't look as cheap as their first pv, and as you said, hopefully the non"danceshot" version will be a little more interesting!

Well, the songs really good. Love it. The pv is a lot better than their previous outings. Not big on the furries at all. Like all the close ups to remind us just how cute these girls are.

I think Yurina got even taller than before, look at the single covers.

TasukiDaisuki, I miss them really crappy miniatures that they used in the first couple of PVs, they were crap but amusing at the same time. But I am really hoping the animals get used more in another version of the PV otherwise it's just pointless, literally pointless. Lol, if they don't then I think this is really the poorest attempt to make a normal dance shot PV more interesting.

Rick, for me I think they're previous PV was my favourite, everyone looked so cute and really looked like they were having fun. I quite enjoyed the close ups with the vegtables/fruit, but still find it sooo odd, what is it with the Japanese and posing with vegtables and fruit?...well I say Japanese I've really only seen it in H!P PVs, but then I havent' really looked elsewhere.

BladeMaster, hahaha she doesn't she, she's huge!! But she's looking amazing with it!
