Reina in CD Data Magazine

Wednesday, 28th February 2007 02:27

In an attempt to broaden my awareness of other Jpop Artists apart from those within H!P I popped down to the Japan Centre and picked up the March issue of CD Data...OK, you got me, the main reason was to check to see if Friday was in, but seeing as it wasn't I didn't want to go away empty handed.

Flicking through it I noticed they have small sections on the Morning Musume release Egao YES Nude and C-ute's Sakura Chirari, neither articles were worth posting about, as it was basically a small picture of the single artwork and some comments...nothing we haven't already seen. But towards the back was a full page on Reina.

CD Data March 2007

It's a really nice page and there are some really cute pictures on it.
I also got a translation of the text on the page thanks to Shohei who so kindly had a look at it about 30 minutes ago (1:30am roughly), it reads;

Hi, its Reina Tanaka, it is 9th time I start Tanakamesen, please support me from now and ever.

The highlight of Alo-Hello
* really scary face, which I can not show.
* natural face, which I really enjoy.
* talk about after I join Morning Musume seriously etc.

it's on DVD, please see it!

It's gonna be season of graduation!
It is hectic season, we have to write a message for the graduatiion album, or take a lot of snapshots with our friends. I remembered I was really tense when I went to get certificate in the graduation ceremony. It was great memory now though (laughs)

About 8th Gen Member
Aika Mitsui is really cute! But, she is sometimes like middle aged woman! She likes rice rather than chocolate. When she talks, she uses her hands and gesture something. I can not imagine she is still 8th grade! But, this is her personality, I will try to find her other things more!

We will release the single "egao YES nudo" on 14th Feburuary, it is up-tempo, cool and sexy, we will show you not only cheerful but also cool Morning Musume.
The main thing about PV this time is dance, so we dance a lot! I could say it is really cool, and also sexy, we shake our hips sexy. You will see it, when you see the PV, you can enjoy it, there are lot of things you enjoy seeing and listening!
Thank you in advance!

It's good to see that it's not just me that thinks that Aika reminds them of an old lady.

If you're looking for other Jpop artists, may I reccomend Yuki's WAVE album. I bought it a month or so ago and have been listening to it nonstop. *Really* great stuff.

Give me a little more time to complete the collection of artists for you to check out. I've made a lot of progress. So far I have selected 315 songs and am up to the alphabet "T" on my shelf. Almost finished! You'll be getting tracks from over 100 artists all burned at 320. I'm also going to be including some notes on the songs and artist. With over 1600 cds to go through it's taking awhile. I've been buying J-Pop music since 1992 and this will give you a taste of a lot of what I've been listening to over the past 15 years. All of my cds/singles are real, no downloads so the sound quality will be optimum. I plan to get it out before I leave for Las Vegas next week.

I used to subscribe to Cd Data magazine for several years back when I was the J-Pop buyer at Tower. I'll put up some H!P/Momusu covers as they were featured quite often in it.

Will do, I'm looking forward to listening to the tracks, I've no intention of grabbing any other Jpop until I get your CD/DVD....well apart from H!P of course
Arashi, will definitely give it a listen to at some point, thanks for the recommendation.
