I've totally underestimated how long it's going to take to the country/sex/age split of the poll results, with so many members and so many countries (and so little free time) it's taking so much longer than I had thought, a night or two...or three or four or five or six :S
So whilst I work away at that I'd thought it best to catch up on the whole ton of posts that I'm still falling behind on, if my powers of persuasion are in any state to be proud of they'll be a post by Chris this evening, but first Manoeri's 2nd Major Single Hajimete no Keiken.
This PV has been up for ages (Buono!'s and Morning Musume's have been up for awhile, so...) and I feel really bad neglecting it. It's an interesting PV, not the most exciting, but it's certainly good to see that the approach isn't going to stick to a 'standard'. Well I guess it's hard to say whether it's going to stick to a standard or not what with this being only her 2nd PV, but it's different enough from Otome no Inori to get me interested. The piano playing is still there, the odd close up is in there but with the dance sections and general random clips it adds a bit of variety into the whole thing.
The colour scheme works amazingly well and really suits Mano, the whole bright and lively look pretty much sums the image I get when I look at Mano. The backing dancers again fit really well into it and reminds me a lot of when Berryz appeared in W's Aa Ii Na, and with those yellow outfits they have on it again reminds me of what both Nono and Aibon wear in that very same PV.
I find all the little random clips fairly amusing, it seems that when ever we see Mano she's amazingly happy and has that grin on her face, I never knew hanging up hankies could be so fun. I'll admit that teasing a baby turtle with the fret of crushing it with one of your fingers has that kind of like god like power that would make people smile, but I never got the impression she was that evil ;p
I'm still mightly impressed with the amount of versions going to be available for this. Much like the previous single we're given the option of more than just the Limited DVD release which we seem to be getting with the other units. And as much as I'm impressed I'm also equally confused by this. The question I have to ask is simply, Why?
If the main unit within H!P isn't getting releases with Photobooks and Cards as well the Limited DVD and Regular versions, then why is Manoeri? I wonder if perhaps it's a popularity thing, or lack of?
Her last single went into the Oricon Weekly chart at No.5, so it's not a low position, but I wonder if perhaps this is more an exagerated position in the sense that people buying it bought more than one copy, not that that's a problem as I'm all up for that, personally I always buy both Limited versions of all Morning Musume's releases. But then if that's the case, why doesn't Morning Musume get the same approach? I'm really curious to know the reasoning behind it, mainly because the sleeves and photobooks are my favourite versions of the Limited releases.

So it looks like all those rumours were true, the Stockholm Expo has been cancelled. So for those that haven't read the email....
"Unfortunately we have to inform you that Stockholm Japan Expo 2009 is cancelled.
There are several reasons for this, the financial change in world economy, severe competition from other festivals/concerts as well as poor ticket sale.
This means you will get your ticket purchase back by www.ticnet.se. More info about this will be announced on our website (www.japanexpo.se) next week.
We deeply apologize for the inconvenience it may have caused and hope that Stockholm Japan Expo will be feasible in the near future.
With sincere apologies,
SJX-Crew "
Well, I guess with them refunding the tickets it gives me a little extra spending money for when I head out to Sweden, lol I have a hotel, plane tickets and the time booked off work, what else is there to do? I guess turn up at the London Expo? But I doubt as much as I'd beg and plead to get my money back for the hotel and flight I wouldn't get it, besides isn't Sweden supposed to be crammed full with attractive blonde girls? Or has my TV been lying to me all these years? I guess at the very least it can be used as a research trip to prove this very theory :S
Oh well, you never know Buono! might head over and do a performance in the street or something? I guess until there's official word on the H!P site as to what's happening, I'd imagine there must be some royally pissed off Japanese fans with fairly expensive flights booked...so who knows what they'll do to appease the fans?
I've finally got around to sorting out the basics of the poll results (overall results and age/gender of people participating) over the coming week I'll be going through the results in a little more detail, breaking down the results and looking specifically at how countries, gender and age voted. For the minute check out what I've dubbed the "scrolly polly" below to see the final results of the poll.
I've been totally amazed by how popular the poll has been this year, getting more than double the amount of people entering this year, 3613 participants is really mind blowing! And again I can't thank everyone enough who helped push the poll for me on the forums and blogs! And although I'm still in the middle of sorting the votes per country (I had actually finished it mid week, but I forgot to save the results...crap!) it looks like the US and China/Hong Kong/Taiwan are the people that have really made the numbers up and with such a large amount of votes from the East, I'm so looking forward to comparing them to those of the West.
The only thing that I've regretted with the poll this year, is that I had originally intended on looking much more in the actual range of those taking part and instead of having age ranges like the previous year using an exact age, unfortunately I forgot about this towards the end and only remembered after I put the poll live. It's not so much of a problem but I'm curious to see which end (if any) the majority of fans fall within the ranges specified.
Much like the previous years results (Morning Musume, Berryz Koubou, ºC-ute Poll Results) it's the teens that seem to be where the majority of fans are, followed closely by those in their twentys. Again I have to mention how much of a shame it is that the specific ages aren't know, I can guess by looking at the results and how much of a drastic difference there is between the Under 10's and the 11-20's and the 21-30 and 31-40 age ranges. I could be totally wrong, but I'm guessing the average age must be mid teens to mid twentys which is exactly the same conclusion I came to on last years poll, so things haven't changed here much.
Again, there hasn't really been much change in the gender of those that have taken part. The girls are still in the lead with the boys only just behind, infact if you compare the graph from last year to this aside from the difference in the amount of people who took part they look almost identical. And when I come to break down the results down further in the next post I'll make sure to compare the results of guys against the girls and see if there's any major differences.
So, onto the actual results themselves. I guess I should explain how the scoring went, basically I went for the Eurovision approach, assigning the member in the first position the most points and the member in the last position the least, so the member in position 1 got 10 points, position 2 9 points and so on until the member in the last position got 1 point, any member that wasn't selected receiving no points. The points were then added together and then ordered by the highest, with the member with the most amount of points winning.
So, in case you can't see results at the start of this post, or if you want to have a quick look through them without having to wait for them to scroll across the screen, here are the results in reverse order.
Positions 60 to 51 To be honest I'm not really surprised with the positions 60 down to 51. The Ongaku Gatas Egg members although I like them (my fave being Sawachan, whose second from last) they don't really offer me much outside of Ongaku Gatas and to be totally honest even when I'm watching Ongaku Gatas related I'm always drawn to the likes of Yossie, Charmy, Satoda and Konkon.
The only tie within the whole of the voting is at position 57, between Sengoku and Akari.
Positions 50 to 41 This is where some of the results to me become a like bit surprising. It's the complete mixture of Eggs, Elder Members and Ice Cream girls. To be honest I wasn't really to see Noto this far down, when it comes to the Eggs, I just always presume that she would have been the most popular. And to see all of Melon Kinenbi to go out this early...well I knew they weren't exactly that popular but still.
Position 40 to 31 More surprising positions, well for me at least. In particular seeing the both a member of Berryz Koubou (Masa) and C-ute (Kanna) out done by some Eggs. And to be honest the positions of both the Shugo Chara Egg girls was a surpsie as I was sure that Yuuka was the more popular, although Kanon does look extremely cuddly I wouldn't have thought it was a reason to be more popular ;p but looking at the scores (if you want to see all the scores look at the scroller at the top of the post) there's only 26 points difference between them so it was quite close.
Position 30 to 21 And now we see the introduction of some of the members that I put into my personal Top 10, it's kinda sad not seeing them any higher, Nakki, Erika and Chinami. But it is interesting to see that Nacchi has made an appearance here, I was curious to see as to who would come out on top out of her and Ayaya and as much as I love Ayaya I was sure that Nacchi was going to beat her, so I'm pleasantly surprised that she did.
Position 20 to 11 So into the Top 20, and another couple of surprises. First, Manoeri she seems to be getting a whole lot of attention lately and so I was expecting her to be higher, certainly higher than the likes of Nono, Mari and Ayaya but I guess it's much the case of new blood vs old blood, and with members like Nono and Mari and certainly although the likes of Mari and Nono haven't really released a lot over their years, their personalities are something to be rivalled and as much as Manoeri is being pushed I think I've yet to see a personality that I'm attracted to, it's more the perception of her or her image that I like I think, if that makes sense?
And the biggest surprise for me, seeing Mikitty in the No.11 spot. Seriously I wasn't expecting that one at all.
Position 10 to 1 The Top 10, the 10 big hitters in the poll. With Aichan claiming the crown, which seems quite fitting considering she's now the proud owner of the leader of H!P as a whole. And although the Top 10 is fairly Morning Musume heavy it's good to see that's there's a mix of both the Berryz and C-ute in there, both with what i consider to be the two most popular members within those groups present. Airi has done astonishingly well, I knew that she was popular but to see her come second well, good on her.
I'm also really pleased by Koha's position, seeing as she always fallen to the bottom half of the previous polls I wondered how she's fair in the overall, and although technically she's still towards the bottom end of Morning Musume she's still ranked within the Top 10 of H!P as a whole, so I don't feel that sad any more, she is loved lol.
I was planning on look a little further, pulling out the whole groups (well Morning Musume, Berryz and C-ute at least) and comparing their positions here with those of the previous polls, as I'm sure their popularity would be similarly ranked if it was just the individual group rankings. But it's getting on, the post has taken longer to write up, code and get the graphics for than I thought, now...I need to catch some sleep, I'll try and spare some more time tomorrow to post again about the results.
A couple of days ago my Buono! tshirt arrived from Ohta and it's got my mood back into the whole Sweden trip. Now I've got my shirt I'm ready to get all dressed up and head out and see Buono!
I'm actually really impressed with the quality of this shirt over the other H!P shirts I own, obviously there's the two colour print, I can't actually remember the last time I bought a H!P shirt that had two colours on it, it's been quite awhile. Also the quality of the shirt feels a lot better than usual, it seems a lot less heavy (lol, does that mean it's worse quality? I've no idea when it comes to material and the like *looks in Hexi's general direction for advice on material* all I know is it feels nicer) just the right sort of material for jumping around in a geeky Buono! concert!
The photo's are also awesome, with the added bonus that instead of just having the one photo of each member which we normally get with the concert shirts, we're treated to two of each member so a whopping total of 6 photos! I'm really liking Airi in these photos, she's just looking so cute lately!
I'm a little confused as to what to take with me if Buono! are doing a signing at the expo, I just sort of presumed I'd just take something I already own with me until I realised the other night that I don't actually own any Buono! merchandise aside from CD's and these photos. Do I just want to get the photos signed? Or do I want to get something else signed instead? It's been awhile since I bought a poster so I'm thinking perhaps I'll grab myself a Buono! poster to go and get signed? Or perhaps grab myself copies of Airi's and Miyabi's most recent PBs to get signed? Hmmm...no idea to be honest, although the poster idea is the one I'm liking the most at the moment can't beat a signed poster hanging on the wall, although would I be leaving a little close to get a My Boy poster?
Ah, the latest lot of C-ute merchandise, I've been so looking forward for Ohta to get this up in his eBay Store as I've seen the little images up on the tour merchandise page of the Hello! Project website and I've completely fallen in love with the design. The simple ABC design on the front, with the more personal back print done by each member.
As ever there's that question of whose to get and I find that within C-ute this decision is getting tougher and tougher which each set of merchandise and for me the choice is certainly more harder than any other of the other units as I find myself loving the C-ute girls so much it's hard to chose between them. First off I'm in desperate need for another Erika shirt, my love of yellow shirts have really grown lately and I'm starting to get quite a pile, but at the same time I'm also in desperate need for a Nakki one as my birthday shirt I have of hers decided to shrink in the wash. Over the past few weeks I've dropped in weight by quite a lot (over a stone :S) and so the shrink isn't particularly a problem, but I've always been a fan of baggy and this comes up a little short which is always kind of a problem when you wear your jeans where I wear them :S
Airi has really grabbed my attention lately, both within C-ute and Buono! so theirs also the temptation to get shirt and, looking at the back print, her design has to be my favourite by far tidy but still cute, it has that certain charm to it. My only problem is the whole lime green issue, I don't think I've ever seen this colour shirt before in a photo or anything so I'm not entirely sure what to expect or if I'd like or not. Maimai my fave voice within C-ute is another member I'd really love to get a shirt for, to be honest I have no idea what's stopping me from just going I'll get a Maimai one? Especially now as she's just looking amazing, I could really do with topping up my photo collection of her as well.
Then there's Chisato, whom I just can't get enough of at the moment, the shirt I own of hers is currently my favourite out of all the H!P shirts I own, it's such a great colour that I would have no hesitation in getting another one... And sadly, last of the list is Maimi whom oddly I have no interest in getting her shirt....
Hmmm....a tough choice indeed.
Aside from the shirts there's all the usual merchandise; dvd, visual books and photos. Although oddly Ohta doesn't seem to have the towels up for this tour, which is a shame as Nakki looks amazing and has a killer pose (followed closely by Erika) plus I just love her hair!...I think I just love Nakki ;p
So it doesn't look like that it'll just be Morning Musume attending the Expo in LA, Tsunku♂ will be coming along as well! And even better it looks like he's going to be appearing as a "special industry guest judge" on the AX Idol Event.
Hmmm...lol, well that didn't mean too much to me when I first read it, having never attended the Expo before I have no idea what the AX Idol Event is, so a quick bit of searching and it turns out it's essentially a singing contest, should of really guessed that if Tsunku♂ is going to be a judge in it. Another reason to attend the Expo, catch a bit of Morning Musume, perform in front of Tsunku♂, sounds just like your average day lol.
The Press Release JapanFiles mailed out reads;
"Anime Expo® 2009's AX Idol event is one of the most coveted and attended events at the nation’s largest anime and manga convention. This year, contestants will have an additional treat as the prolific producer, of Morning Musume fame, Tsunku♂ will appear as a special industry guest judge.
"AX Idol 2009 will give attendees a special opportunity to showcase their singing and voice acting talents in front of industry professionals from Bang Zoom! Entertainment and Tsunku♂-one of the most famous music producers from Japan. It is my honor to be a part of such a great event that give our attendees the dream to become a part of the anime industry", states Kacie Chatfield AX Idol Manager.
Interested contestants must be registered Anime Expo® 2009 attendees and can register online at www.anime-expo.org after 6:00 pm PST today."
It actually sucks big time that I'm still undecided as to whether I'm going to the Expo, I should hopefully know over the next week or so, as all my big spends (stupid car) will be out of the way.
Although my singing ability is legendary in the pubs that I've drunkenly mumbled words through a microphone in, I'm not sure I should even consider taking part if I do attend the expo, my 'voice of angel' gets ranked alongside that regular crazy guy (every karaoke night I've ever been to has one) that always turns up sings and sits by himself and has the worlds oddest voice and does a strange dance to accompany it. Although on watching some of the clips from last years AX Idol I may actually be in with a chance ;p I've stolen a clip from last years event (from axackstage.com) and put it below if you want to get an idea of what the thing is like.
So in case anyone is going to the Expo and wants to take part and wasn't aware of it, here's the link to the form you need to fill in to register; AX Idol Registration Form.
So whilst I sort through the results of the latest poll (I'm actually done, just in the middle of making some graphs, lol all very scientific ;p) Shirow has come up with a noval twist on the whole ranking and that's putting them in order you'd most like to, um, cuddle them. So here's my list of members I'd most like to *cough* cuddle..
Do I need to explain my reasoning? Well, I guess it can't hurt it'd a fairly short post if I don't.
1. Chinami - I wasn't originally going to put her so highly in the list, 1st place was originally reserved for Yui, but then I realised that she's the H!P girl that I sleep with on a nightly basis (In Bed With Chinami). I have to say she doesn't smell nearly as nice as when Hexi originally gave her to me (not that I pong or anything, let's just say it smelly all girly when Hexi sent it over, lol), but she's certainly still as huggable, the material is so soft and smooth! Seriously, everybody should have their own H!P pillow! Plus have you seen her legs!!!
2. Yui - Do I really need to explain this one? If there's one thing I like more than cute girls in knee high socks, it's cute girls with something to cuddle up against ;p
3. Ayaya - The legs...oh my god the legs!
4. Gaki - Personally in my humble opinion, she has the best body within Morning Musume. Gaki in a bikini totally rocks!
5. Sayu - And Gaki's followed ever so closely by Sayu..
6. Erika - She always remind me of Leilani, but a much cuter version.
7. Koha - Well the girls crazy and hyper...crazy and and hyper's good.
8. Charmy - With her mix of cute and sexy and all her PBs, how could I resist?
I have to admit that when I put a poll I use it as an excuse to post a little less than usual, one because I want the poll to remain at the top of the site and secondly...it's nice to have a break every now and then. But with the poll over (well, I'm still working on sorting the results) it's time to get back on track.
C-ute's current single Bye Bye Bye is something I've been wanting to write about for ages, I even suggested to Gina that we should both write a review of the PV seeing as how neither of us had, Gina did (Bye Bye Bye! PV Review) and me well... it's certainly late coming, but it's finally here.
The thing I find really odd with this release (in particular the intro and dance sections) is that when I listen to it I feel like I'm back in the late 80's early 90's, it's not so much the vocals more the music that gives me this feeling. I can't quite put my finger on what it exactly reminds me about, perhaps the general syntersized and slightly funky sound? I would say I'll have a dig around my music collection to see what it is about the song that reminds me of the time so much, but my music collection only goes back to the mid 90s and off the top of my head I can only remember a few songs by Prince and Salt 'n Pepper and I don't really think either of them are really a good comparison lol. Hmm... I may have to try and raid my Dad's "Now 80's" collection :S
Although I don't think this is your typical C-ute single, well what really is a typical C-ute single, they generally vary in sound so much, but it's certainly sticking to the mature sound that seem to have been developing and much like all of their singles I LOVE IT! Luckily I've had a really quiet day in work today so the PV has just been playing over and over :)
Just listening to the first 30 seconds, I knew that I was going to love this song. The intro is amazingly cool and funky and made even better as my favourite voice within C-ute, Maimai, has the opening lines. The song is still mainly a Airi and Maimi affair but the line distribution is quite possibly a bit better than usual as every one get's a line or two here and there. But as ever the lack of any significant from Erika really dissapoints me, but I guess it's something I've grown accustom to.
The PV for this song suits is perfectly, I know I generally complain how H!P PVs lack that little bit of inspiration lately, but I can't think of anything better to accompany this song than this PV, I watch it and I can't imagine any other dance or actions that suit it better than this. The huge Bye Bye Bye! sign in the background looks amazing and the lighting effects it produce again fit in perfectly. And the thing I especially like about the PV is the amount of leg that's on display! I was initially a little dissapointed by the fact that Nakki wasn't following the trend, but the more I see her in her outfit the more I wouldn't want it any other way, as she looks amazing in it!
I can't finish off without mentioning Kanna, or specifically the lack of her. And I really hate to this, but I didn't notice at all... I feel really bad for saying it, but her lack of appearance really doesn't bother me in the slightest, in fact it lets me focus more on the girls that I love so much... Sorry Kanna (hope you're back soon though)...
CD Release Date : 15 - 04 - 09 DVD Release Date : 22 - 04 - 09
For those of us unluckily enough not to be attending the Hangry and Angry there's a couple of things to help us feel a little better. First up JapanFiles have the latest Digital only release of their latest single SadisticDance. Which kinda sucks for everyone outside of Japan and the US, as it essentitally means we aren't able to purchase a legit copy :(
But we can listen to the preview made availble and with it being a minute long (a third of the entire song) it's a fairly meaty preview.
Sadistic Dance follows along the same style as those on their Mini Album and it would certainly fit perfectly onto the album. The only real thing I'd say as a negative is that I think perhaps some of the guitar could be heavier, as at times I don't think it really fits into the song, but that's just a minor gripe and doesn't really distract from how good the single is, I guess another negative is there's no B-Side :(
Also, :::Dohhh Up!::: have provided a short Live clip of a performance of Kill Me Kiss Me from the MySpace Japan 2nd Anniversary in November last year. This is really the kick in the teeth you need for those of us not attending the Seatle Sakura-Con because this performance looks totally awesome and if their performance is only hald as good as this it'll still be amazing!
My worry with this unit was that they wouldn't be performing with a live band as their music is the kind that really needs the band to give it the right feel, thankfully this performance (and I'd imagine the performance at Sakura-Con) the live band is present and they really compliment the performance.
DAMN IT! I wanna watch them live!!!
I think Gina summed it up best when she messaged me last night about these; "Zomgz, H!P hats :-O".
I've seen a couple of caps on Yahoo! Auctions with the C-ute logo on it, which in the past I've been tempted to buy, but for one reason or another I've passed on. Seeing these Trucker style caps with the personal member images on them, that are available through Ohta's Store really makes these even more of a tempting buy. But for me the unfortunate thing is that the designs are perhaps a bit to girlie in there deigns. Out of all them, the design that I'd go for would have to be Miyabi's, simple and less...girlie.
If Mai would have drawn one of her skull design I would have been all over it.
So we're just over half way through the Hello!Project 2009 Poll and I have to say that I'm amazed as to how popular it's been this year, currently there's been 2930 votes, more than double of last years. So thanks to everyone whose taken part so far!
I also realised I forgot to thank a few people when I may the original post, first off thanks to Hexi who not only pestered me on a regular basis to make progress on the poll but who I also pestered when searching for images to use. Chris, Gina and jyoru all deserve thanks as I'm sure I pestered them on numerous occasions when on the hunt for photos and opinions on how the poll should work.
Also, I have to thank both Kelly and Xacur for doing translations on how to use the poll in both Spanish and Chinese. Both Ohta and JapanFiles deserve a thankyou, for pushing out the poll via their newsletters, all of these things have really helped into making this the most popular poll I've done so far, and reaching people who wouldn't normally see my site.
Don't forget if you haven't taken the poll yet you've still got time, head over to the Hello!Project 2009 Poll and make your vote!
Well, usually I post my result to the poll along with the poll itself, but this year I just didn't have time I had to get the poll up ASAP and no doubt the write of mine would have meant another day without it going up. So I'm going to take this quiet Saturday evening (well....I should really be doing work) to write mine up.
1. Matsuura Aya To me Ayaya was always on a par with Morning Musume all the time I've been into Hello! Project, there's nothing about her I can find fault with. She's has one of the most amazing voices that I've ever heard, she's absolutely stunning to look at (and def had the best legs within GAM ;p) and her live performances totally kick arse!
The odd thing I find with Ayaya is I don't really follow her like I do with the other members, on looks alone she's at the top of the list yet I don't own any of her PB's...why would I not own pics of her in bikini?!???!?!?!!!! And as for her live performances, well I feel ashamed of myself to have to admit that I've only got a few of them, and even then only one solo DVD; Aya The Witch, GAMs First Concert Tour and HAROPURO PARTY! 2005. She just has the most amazing stage presence.
2. Kusumi Koharu I don't think I really need to explain my love of Koha really, I'm sure that anyone whose visited the site before will know of my total love of her. If ever there was a personality in H!P that I've just totally fallen in love with it's Koha's, she's just so hyper and crazy, there's just something about it that draws me to her. She's so full of confidence as well watching the making ofs you can see this, especially with Milky Way's debut single, she's just amazing to watch.
Sure she doesn't have the most amazing voice and to be honest it really pisses me off when I see her perform live and see her miming, but again the stage pressence and personality always seem to win me over with these performances.
3. Tsuji Nozomi For quite some time when I first got into H!P Nono was one at the top of my fave list (along with Aibon) and it's totally understandable why. First off her and Aibon were the reason I got into H!P (Discovering Hello Project) and so obviously she'll remain at the top, but add to that her quirky personality and you know your on to a winner. I love her within Mini Moni and the clips of her on Ayaka's Surprise English Lessons always have me in stitches, infact the first thought that comes into my head when ever I think of them is when she takes control and turns it into Nono's Surpise Dancing lesson instead.
4. Michishige Sayumi Much like Koha, I'm sure everybody know about my love of Sayu, she's just so damn cute! And the thing that I think that's keeping her as one of my faves (as there are a ton of other cute girls within H!P) is the fact that she's managing to evolve her image and she's doing an amazing job of it. I think much like Charmy she's managed to keep the cute image that she's so known for but is able to pull off that sexy image as well when needed, her last couple of PBs are great examples of that.
Much like Koha she hasn't got the greatest voice in the world, but there's something about it that I really like, I love hearing her sing and I'm so pleased she managed to get a solo on Platinum 9 DISC.
5. Nakajima Saki Nakki my new C-ute favourite. Yep, she's just taken over from Erika and it's taken me awhile to finally realise it. I think the realisation came whilst I was watching the PV for Forever Love, the best way I can describe it is brain freeze :S I saw her and all I can think is "Nakki....." she's just so hypnotic to look at. Plus that smile is a killer!
6. Niigaki Risa Gaki much like Nakki has one of the best smiles in H!P, in fact I'd go so far to say that she has the best smile in H!P and her personality is just so happy and cheery. The best thing I can think of to improve a really shitty day is to sit down and watch her Alo-Hello DVD, it can make you feel a million times better and her smile is so contagious that as soon as you see you'll be smiling as well. Then, there's her body...seriosuly I'd go so far as to say that she's the most amazing H!P member in a bikini *drools*
7. Umeda Erika My previous number 1 C-ute member Erika, she's still impresses me and I still think that she's totally under used in all the single releases, but my latest obsession with Nakki has really started to take over when it comes to C-ute. Fingers crossed we'll get to see a PB release from her at some point this year as she's the member within the whole of H!P that I'd most like to see get a PB release, she just looks so amazing!
8. Tsugunaga Momoko The might that is Buono! has pushed the still slightly odd looking Momo to the top of my Berryz list, her wacky personality still keeps amused and I find myself being attracted to her slightly odd looks more and more, certainly within the Buono! PVs where my eyes seem to always be drawm to her legs. And when it comes to Buono! she's easily my favourite member within the unit, I love how she's been given the humorous less serious side as it suits sooo well....ARGH! Can't believe I'm going to see her in Sweden in what? a month and a bit!!!!!!!
9. Tokunaga Chinami Ah the wonders a new haircut can do. Proof that the H!P stylists aren't always totally retarded! How amazing does she look? How great are her legs? She's jumped up within my Berryz faves considerably so much so that she's jumped ahead of Risako and considering how I had them placed in last years poll is really impressive. Plus the fact that every night I get to cuddle up alongside her (In Bed With Chinami) is always going to mean that she was in my Top 10, it would just be rude not to put the girl I sleep with nightly within it ;p
10. Yoshizawa Hitomi Tenth place was a bit of a toughy for me, as I wasn't to sure whether to have Charmy or Yossie, but I decided to go with Yossie in the end. It was hard because my reasoning was because of both my love for Ongaku Gatas and Hangry and Angry and with both of them featuring in both it made a really awkward choice. There's the difference in personalty as well to take into consideration as well, but I think what won it for me is how unique Yossie is within H!P and how her appearance has changed so greatly over time. Then there's the fact that her voice is killer! I can't wait for another Hangy and Angry release!!
The great thing I love about the polls is that it gets a lot people chatting about the same subject and it's always great to see people individual opinions and it can give us a little insight to who could possibly come out on top. I particulalry love about this is how varied the results are from person to person, with so many members to choose from I guess it's understandable. If you feel like having a closer look at who people are choosing then I've collected some links (oops, almost forgot to thank Maize at IntlWota for linking to the poll and for linking to sites that feature their results) below that are worth a look, if I've not linked to your site and you've posted up your results please leave a link in the comments as I'd love to take a look. I should be updating these links in the next day or two as there's a few blogs on helloproject.tw but the sites currently moving.
This post is a little late in coming, not only in a Japanese time scale but over here in the UK as yesterday has gone and we're now in today, which means no more Elder Club.
At the moment I'm pretty numb to the whole thing, not because I don't care, I do I'm just feeling a bit down at the moment. But let's try and forget about that and concentrate on H!P, it generally has a way of making me feel better.
The slightly annoying thing at the moment is that it appears that the fanclub sites (Hello! Project, Hello! Project, M-Line, Ayaway and Melon Kinenbi Department) for all of this seem to be down, I was kind of hoping that they'd be something interesting for us to wet our appetites with, oh well, it looks like they'll be up in a day or two so hopefully then we'll have something to check out.
I'm excited to see what happens now, with all of the artists. Fingers crossed we'll be seeing more releases from everybody on a more regular basis and perhaps with the reduction of costs that not having the Elder Club as part of Hello! Project we'll see the return of some better packaging when it comes to the Limited Releases? Lol, yes I'm still moaning about the packaging, aside from the wonderful line up of packaging with Manoeri's debut main stream single the rest is pretty much on the lame side, just look at Morning Musume's Platinum 9 Disc. Although I've yet to watch the included DVD, it sounds like something I'm going to be disappointed with.
Hmmm, enough moaning, I knew my bad mood would come out into the post, sorry. I guess the last thing to do is say "Goodbye" to all the girls that have left H!P and "Hello" to their future careers! I can't leave the post without posting a video, so here's the latest video from :::Dohhh Up!:::, All For One & One For All, brings a tear to your eye doesn't it?
